My personal favourites in the issue no.2 are the gorgeous videos Scarabee and Shipwreck (in Annette Arlander’s article) by Sara Pathirane. They are not performances shot on video but scenic “motion pictures”. Needless to say I have nothing against performances shot on video. Just take a look at David Frankovich‘s minute with a chocolate bunny! As Arlander points out, video is the way to archive and distribute never repeated, one and only performances. Then again, Frankovich can repeat his action with the bunny – but is it the same?
