Puhuva pää / Talking Head

Tajunnanvirtaesitykseni Puhuva pää, jossa etukäteen suunnittelematta sanallistan kaikki mieleni liikkeet—mitä näen, koken, tunnen, muistan esityshetkellä—viettää 25-vuotisjuhliaan ja seuraavaksi siitä on esityksiä Finfringe-festivaalilla Turussa:

  • Torstaina 14.5. suomeksi klo 16.15 Taiteen talon viidennen kerroksen Auditoriossa
  • Perjantaina 15.5. englanniksi klo 18.00 Åbo Svenska Teaterin Café Tiljanissa

Merkityksen päivä

Merkityksen päivä on Laterna Magican näyttelytilaan koreografioitu tapahtuma Helsingissä, jossa luen esitystaiteilijakonkari Sanna Kekäläisen kanssa ääneen runoja Gunnar Björlingin (1887-1960) kokoelmasta Auringonvihreä (Solgrönt, 1933). Sen lisäksi käymme keskustelua runojen synnyttämistä ajatuksista ja tunteista. Aiheina ovat elämänjano, rakkaus sekä rutiköyhän ja syrjityn taiteilijan elämän välitilinpäätös lähestyvän kuoleman edessä. Työtäni teoksessa tulee Jenny ja Antti Wihurin rahasto.

My stream of consciousness performance, Talking Head, in which I verbalize all the movements of my mind without planning in advance—what I see, experience, feel, remember at the moment of the performance—is celebrating its 25th anniversary and next performances will take place at the Finfringe festival in Turku:

  • Thursday 14 May in Finnish at 4:15 pm in the Auditorium on the fifth floor of Taiteen talo
  • Friday 15 May in English 6 pm in Café Tiljan of the Åbo Svenska Teater

Merkityksen päivä (The day of significance) is an event choreographed for the exhibition space of Laterna Magica in Helsinki, where I read out loud with the veteran performance artist Sanna Kekäläinen poems from Gunnar Björling‘s (1887-1960) collection Solgrönt (Sungreen, 1933). We discuss the thoughts and feelings generated by the poems. The topics include the thirst for life, love, and the interim accounting of the life of a destitute and discriminated artist in the face of approaching death. My work in the project is supported by Wihuri Foundation.
