Keikkailen sooloteokseni Puhuva pää Soiva Metsä -festivaalilla Suomussalmella lauantaina 5.7.2025 klo 19! Vapaa pääsy, tervetuloa! Esiintymiseni festivaalilla on Pakko sanoa! -festivaalin Pop-up -tapahtuma.

“Ihmisen mieli ei ole koskaan hiljaa”

Puhuva pää on sooloteos, jossa puhun ääneen kaiken, mitä mieleeni tulee tunnin aikana. Sanallistan kaiken—mitä näen, koen, tunnen, muistan—etukäteen suunnittelematta. Tämän lisäksi toteutan esityksessä yhden tehtävän, jonka saa tietää vasta esityksen aikana.

Esityksen keskeinen elämys ei ole mielen sisältö vaan elävän mielen läsnäolo. Esiintyjän puheen lisäksi katsoja alkaa seurata myös omaa sisäistä puhettaan, jolloin raja esiintyjän ja katsojan välillä saattaa kadota… Esitys paljastaa miten hienoilla säikeillä ihmiset ovat toisiinsa kytkettyjä.

Puhuva pää on yhdistelmä improvisaatiota, stand upia ja performanssitaidetta. Teos näki päivänvalon Todellisuuden tutkimuskeskuksessa vuonna 2001. Olen esittänyt sitä siitä lähtien festivaaleilla ja monenlaisissa tilaisuuksissa.

I’m performing my solo work Talking Head at the Soiva Metsä festival in Suomussalmi on 5 July 2025 at 7:00 PM! My performance at the festival is a Pop-up event of Pakko sanoa! festival.

“The human mind is never silent”

Talking Head is a solo piece in which I speak out loud everything that comes to mind during an hour. I verbalize everything—what I see, experience, feel, remember—without planning in advance. In addition to this, I carry out one task in the performance, which you only learn about during the performance.

The central experience of the performance is not the content of the mind but the presence of a living mind. In addition to the performer’s speech, the viewer also begins to follow their own inner speech, which can make the boundary between performer and viewer disappear… The performance reveals how people are connected to each other by fine threads.

Talking Head is a combination of improvisation, stand-up and performance art. The piece saw the light of day at Reality Research Center in 2001. I have been performing it at festivals and various events ever since.
